Masing pays last respects to former comrade

KUCHING, May 28: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president Tan Sri James Masing was among the steady stream of visitors who paid their last respects to the late former Deputy Chief Minister Dato Sri Daniel Tajem today.

Masing who was accompanied by Murum assemblyman Kennedy Chukpai Ugon and Samalaju assemblyman Majang Renggi visited the late Tajem’s residence here this afternoon.

Masing and Tajem were former comrades in the now defunct Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PDBS) which was founded by Tan Sri Leo Moggie and Tajem after they exited from Sarawak National Party (SNAP) which was then headed by Datuk Amar James Wong.


Tajem leaves behind three children and seven grandchildren. His children are Mervyn, 50; Raymond, 47; and Angeline, 44.

The funeral service will be held at St Thomas’ Cathedral at 9am on May 30 and he will be buried at the Nirvana Memorial Park, Bau afterwards. — DayakDaily
