KAPIT, March 17: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut presented a total of RM788,000 in minor rural project (MRP) funds to various recipients in Sarawak.
In a ceremony here yesterday to benefit 16 recipients, he said this was Phase I of the MRP fund distribution where more than half of the amount was given to those from Kapit.
The total amount disbursed was RM443,000.
The reminder of RM345,000 has also been given out to 22 recipients from outside Kapit.
Masing who is also Infrastructure Development and Transportation Minister advised the recipients to make good use of the MRP allocation.
“Use the funds properly to help your associations and your community. Keep a good record of how you spend the funds,” he said. — DayakDaily
