KUCHING, June 6: Supt Maria Rasid is now the new Sarawak Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) chief.
She took over from Supt Mustafa Kamal Gani Abdullah, who was the state CCID chief for three years before his recent promotion to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
Mustafa will serve in Penang Police Contingent as the Head of Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department.
Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail witnessed the handing over ceremony yesterday.
Aidi praised Mustafa for the latter’s commitment and achievements during his service as CCID chief in Sarawak.
“Sarawak CCID recorded the highest number of charges for two years consecutively in 2018 and 2019,” he said.
Meanwhile, Aidi also expressed his confidence in Maria’s leadership in bringing the department to new heights. –DayakDaily
