Man robbed at knifepoint in Krokop 7

MIRI, Dec 28: Police are tracking down a suspect who had robbed a hairstylist student at knifepoint in Krokop 7 here on Friday (Dec 27) afternoon.

Miri Police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said that the 20-year-old youth was robbed of a silver-coloured Hua Wei Mate 30 Pro smartphone and a powerbank, estimated to be worth around RM2,000, in the 1.30pm incident.


According to sources, the suspect had approached the victim from behind when he exited from his car and pointed a knife at him.

The victim, who was not harmed, then lodged police report on the incident.

The case is being investigated under Section 392/397 of the Penal Code for robbery.— DayakDaily
