KUCHING, May 9: A life was taken after a wall of the house still under construction collapsed on a 55-year-old man at Taman Serene Jelita, Miri on Saturday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) rushed to the scene around 8:57 am after receiving an emergency call about the incident.
When Bomba reached the scene, the deceased had been moved out from under the collapsed wall by his colleagues while medical officers were giving immediate treatment to the deceased.
The deceased was identified as Karim and announced dead at 9.35 am.
Bomba checked the remaining structure to make sure the site was safe for the other workers and the deceased was handed over to police for further action.—DayakDaily
