MIRI, Nov 23: A 51-year-old local man fainted after taking part in a badminton game with friends and subsequently passed away last night at a badminton court in Piasau.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed receiving a report on the incident on that same night around 8.06pm.
“A team of medical personnel from Miri Hospital rushed to the scene,” he said.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
“No foul play was involved in the incident, and the case is being classified as sudden death,” said Alexson. — DayakDaily
