Undergraduate killed in single-car crash at Taman Tunku

MIRI, Nov 23: A 21-year-old, undergraduate student at a private university here was killed when a car she was driving crashed into a tree by the roadside at Taman Tunku yesterday.

The deceased was traveling alone in the MyVi when the incident occurred around 3.44pm, said Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu.

He disclosed the driver was travelling from the city centre heading towards Taman Tunku when the car veered off the road and crashed into the tree.


The driver succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her remains were later taken to Miri Hsopital morgue.

The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
