SIBU,Nov 2: A 43-year-old man succumbed to serious head injuries after he was hit by a car while attempting to cross Jalan Lanang today.
Sibu district police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said in the 6.25am incident, the victim is believed to have tried to run across the road when a car driven by a 26-year-old man knocked him down.
“He suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Sibu hospital,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
