BAU, Nov 30: A 25-year-old man was killed in an early-morning collision involving a Perodua Bezza and a motorcycle along the Pan Borneo Lundu–Bau Road near Kampung Stenggang today.
Bau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were alerted at 5.10am and arrived at the scene at 5.29am to find the victim, identified as Estee Tapha Telen, trapped beneath the car.
Firefighters used road traffic accident rescue equipment, including an air lifting bag, to raise the vehicle before extricating the victim.
A medical officer at the scene confirmed that the victim had died. His body was later handed over to the police for further action.
The operation was brought under control at 5.46am and concluded at 6.21am after firefighters ensured the area was safe. — DayakDaily
