Man injured in car crash on Jalan Tudan Phase 6 in Miri after vehicle bursts into flames

MIRI, Feb 24: A 21-year-old man sustained injuries after his vehicle collided with the rear of a parked lorry on Jalan Tudan Phase 6, Desa Senadin, in the early hours of this morning.

The collision resulted in the car catching fire, although fortunately, the victim’s injuries were not severe.

Quick-thinking members of the public rushed to the scene and rescued the victim from the burning vehicle before emergency services arrived.


He was subsequently taken to Miri Hospital for further medical attention.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue (Bomba) department dispatched a team from the Lutong fire and rescue station in response to an emergency call received at 3.02am.

As investigations into the incident continue, authorities have yet to determine the exact cause of the crash. — DayakDaily
