KUCHING, April 7: A male driver sustained injuries after his car crashed into a ditch on the side of the road along Jalan Sultan Tengah, Petra Jaya, here this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received an alert about the accident at 7.25am. Firefighters from the Petra Jaya fire station swiftly responded and were deployed to the scene.
“Upon arrival at the location, there was a single-vehicle accident involving a car believed to have lost control and crashed into a ditch on the side of the road.
“The firefighters did a size-up and found that the victim was not trapped and had suffered injuries.
“The victim was swiftly assisted by the firefighters and transferred to the Red Crescent ambulance for immediate transportation to the hospital for necessary medical attention,” read the statement.
Once the firefighters confirmed the safety of the area for other road users, they concluded their operation at 8.30am. — DayakDaily
