KUCHING, April 7: There was a collision between a car and a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle along Jalan Miri-Pujut last night (April 6), resulting in injuries to three individuals.
According to a statement from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received an alert about the accident at 10.22pm. Firefighters from the Miri Central fire station were immediately dispatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that the accident involved a 4WD vehicle and a car. The driver and front passenger of the car were trapped in their seats.
“Following the size-up, rescue tools were used to remove the victims.
“The victims were then handed over to the Ministry of Health personnel,” read the statement.
Bomba further emphasised that the driver of the 4WD vehicle sustained only minor injuries.
Once the firefighters confirmed the safety and control of the situation, they concluded the operation at 11.24pm. — DayakDaily
