KUCHING, May 6: A 28-year-old man was injured following a collision between a Toyota Hilux and a Perodua Axia at Jalan Diplomatik here this morning.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 4.01am, and firefighters from the Peta Jaya station were deployed.
Upon arrival at 4.10am, it was noted that the victim, who was driving the Axia, was thrown out of the vehicle due to the impact of the accident.
“He was found to be unconscious and had an open wound on his head. The Petra Jaya Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team administered treatment to the victim at the scene while waiting for the ambulance.
“The victim was then handed over to Health Ministry officials for further treatment,” said the report.
