Man found dead at shoplot staircase in Bandar Baru Mukah, police seek next-of-kin, witnesses

MUKAH, Sept 18: A man was found dead on the second-floor staircase railing of a shoplot in Bandar Baru Mukah this morning.

In a news report by TVS, Mukah District Police chief Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Muhamad Rizal Alias stated that they received information about the incident at 8.45am.

“Initial investigations found no signs of struggle or any equipment that could have caused injury.

“Additionally, no identification was found on the deceased, who is believed to be in his 20s,” he sad in a statement today.

The deceased had a fair complexion, was wearing a black T-shirt with ‘Sibu Bike Week 2018’ written on it and dark blue pants, and had straight hair. He also had “bunga terung” tattoos on both shoulders.

Muhamad Rizal said the body has been sent to Mukah Hospital for further examination.

The police is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating the deceased’s next-of-kin and any witnesses to the incident. Those with information may contact investigating officer SM Abdul Rahman Maerrad at 013-8029577. — DayakDaily
