MIRI, Dec 21: A man was found dead by his brother in the kitchen of the victim’s home at Kampung Sungai Dalam, Batu 6, here today.
Police and ambulance were immediately rushed to the scene in response to a distress call made by the brother, who found the deceased lying unconscious at around 7am.
According to Miri deputy police chief, Supt Sabri Zainol, no foul play were involved in the death of the man. The deceased has been identified as Basil Kendawang, aged 47.
“The discovery was made by Basil’s brother after his wife told him that Basil did not respond to the knocking on the door this morning,” said Sabri.
The deceased was staying in the house alone and has a medical history of high blood pressure, he added.
The case is being classified as sudden death. — DayakDaily
