Man dies of sudden death at bus stop along Jalan Bintulu-Tatau

KUCHING, Sept 18: A man was found dead on Sept 17 at 7.06pm at the Mile 7 bus stop along Jalan Bintulu-Tatau, near the Jepak junction at Bintulu.

According to a statement by Bintulu District Police Chief Superintendent Batholomew Umpit, the police have yet to confirm the identity of the victim because no identification documents were found on the victim’s body at the scene of the incident.

The victim is believed to be a non-local man in his 30s and was confirmed dead at the scene of the incident.

ā€œPreliminary investigation on the victim’s body shows no element of foul play,ā€ said Batholomew.

The case is thus classified as sudden death.

The public is advised not to speculate or spread unverified news to prevent unnecessary fear and confusion among the local community.
