KUCHING, Feb 19: A 49-year-old man died from 43 pellet wounds following a hunting incident near Sungai Buyoh in Kampung Jugan, Bau.
According to Bau district police chief DSP Poge Nyaon, the incident was reported by medical staff from Bau Hospital on Feb 16.
“On Feb 17, police arrested two men, aged 40 and 50, to assist the investigation.
“Police also confiscated two homemade shotguns and their cartridges,” he said in a statement.
Poge disclosed that most of the wounds were found on the deceased’s abdomen and chest, including a few on the hands and thigh.
He added the case is currently being investigated under Section 304A of the Penal Code. — DayakDaily
