Man charged with trafficking 325.7g of cannabis

KUCHING, March 27: A man faces the death penalty if found guilty of drug trafficking.

High Court Judge Supang Lian fixed May 14 for final case management and trial is set for June 24 to 28.


Mohd Munawar Mohd Azizan, 28, was charged with trafficking 325.7 grammes of cannabis at a house located in Jalan Semariang, at about 11.30pm, on October 9, 2018.

He was charged under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and punishable under subsection 39B(2) of the same Act which carries the mandatory death penalty.
