MIRI, March 27: A 36 year-old housewife sustained injuries on her forehead after being slashed with a knife by her husband during a quarrel at their house in Taman Tunku on Tuesday (March 26) morning over a WhatsApp message.
According to sources, the husband slashed his wife’s forehead after punching her in the face during the commotion.
The alleged attack reportedly occurred around 8am which was said to have been triggered by a WhatsApp message on the wife’s handphone.
A police report was lodged by the 26 year-old wife after she received medical treatment at a clinic in Taman Tunku.
According to sources, the victim received several stitches on her forehead following the incident.
Sources added, prior to the attack, the husband got angry after he saw a message on his wife’s handphone sent by a man believed to be an offshore worker which contained the term of endearment ‘sayang’.
Acting on the report lodged, the husband was detained by the police to facilitate investigation into the case. — DayakDaily
