KUCHING, Aug 10: A 31-year-old man was arrested after 1.41 grammes of methamphetamine was found in his bag in his room at Jalan Kranji, Bau-Kuching Road this morning.
The police raided the suspect’s room at 9.30am. No drugs were found on the suspect’s body.
According to Bau District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon, the police found the suspect’s bag hanging from a window. A transparent plastic bag with three smaller plastic bags and a straw tube with crystal-like substances believed to be methamphetamine was found in it.
The suspect was arrested and later tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine in a urine test.
The suspect was remanded and will be investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. — DayakDaily
