KUCHING, Aug 18: A man was arrested on suspicion of molesting a four-year-old girl at Kampung Asum, Jalan Padawan.
The incident was discovered by the victim’s mother when the victim complained of pain in her private part while changing clothes on Aug 15, Saturday at 9pm. The victim told her mother that her finger was licked by the suspect and the suspect had inserted his finger into the victim’s private part when she visited the suspect with her grandmother on Aug 10.
The victim had informed her grandmother about the incident but no further action was taken.
According to Padawan District Police Chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan, a police team arrested the 62-year-old suspect yesterday at 3.20pm.
“The suspect did not admit that he had inserted his finger into the victim’s private part. No (prior) criminal record was found for the suspect as well,” Aidil revealed.
The suspect will be remanded and further investigations conducted. — DayakDaily
