Malaysian Red Crescent unit from SJK Chung Hua No. 5 donates RM2,525, essential supplies for SSPCA

KUCHING, Nov 30: The Malaysian Red Crescent unit at SJK Chung Hua No. 5 Kuching has successfully organised a fundraising project for Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA), through which they collected RM2,525, as well as packets of rice, pet food, and old clothing.

According to a press release, the objective of the community service project was to instil in students love and care for the animals at SSPCA.

On Nov 27, 2023, the school’s headmistress, Chin Mui Ling, presented the donations to SSPCA president Datin Dona Drury-Wee.

Chin also expressed her sincere thanks to the parents, teachers, and students for making this fundraising project a success.

At the same time, Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Branch chairman Chai Chon Hon presented Chin with the Best Link Award 2023 (Sarawak Branch) who received it on behalf of the school. — DayakDaily
