KUCHING, July 13: ENE (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Magnum 4D, today handed over sponsorship of RM45,000 to support the upcoming Kuching Festival Food Fair 2023.
ENE (East Malaysia) vice president and regional head Liew Kee Chuan presented the cheque to Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng in a simple ceremony held at MBKS headquarters today.
This sponsorship marked ENE (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd’s 30 years of continuous support for the festival.
During a press conference, Wee expressed his gratitude to ENE (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, stating that the sponsorship will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the festival.
“The contribution will help create a better environment for visitors to enjoy the festival, which will feature over 330 food stalls and 95 indoor trade fair stalls this year,” he said.
Wee also highlighted that apart from the diverse range of food offerings, the festival will feature a designated section dedicated to the Unesco Creative Cities Network for Gastronomy, where visitors can experience heritage and home-cooked delicacies.
The Kuching Festival Food Fair 2023 is scheduled to take place at the MBKS Community Hall grounds from July 28 to Aug 20.
As an eagerly anticipated annual event, the festival has grown over the years, attracting visitors who indulge in the diverse culinary offerings and immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Kuching’s food culture.
Among those present at the ceremony were Kuching Festival Food Fair 2023 organising chairman councillor Mok Chuang Ping and deputy chairman councillor Chai Ju Loon, as well as ENE (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd Business Development manager Joenn Goh. — DayakDaily
