“Sarawak comprises a varied composition formed of various cultures and races. The close rapport among races will further strengthen our unity and the development of our nation.

“It is the federal government policy that holding various cultural activities from various races will make us realise the importance of various cultures that exist in this country.

“This is the cultural practice that we want to inculcate. We must always hold on to this integrity and we must always maintain our harmony and the spirit of tolerance in unity,” he noted.

Jugah made these remarks at the National Day 2019 celebration dinner at Bong Thai Ti Temple, Jelukong, Engkilili here.

“At the same time it is important because it is the key towards political stability and economic development, and we must all maintain our existing well-being.”

Jugah stressed that it is his duty as Lubok MP to bring the voices of the people that want development on par with other districts in Sarawak, to the authorities.

“I will do my best to bring our voices to Parliament as we want infrastructure development, quality education and for the welfare of the people in Lubok Antu to be given priority.

“It is my hope that we can strengthen further our bond through this National Day 2019 celebration with high spirits and be proud of our culture,” he said.

Jugah allocated RM30,000 to the Jelukong Chinese community to organise activities in the area.
