KUCHING, July 26: A lorry attendant died in an accident involving two lorries at Jalan Serian–Kuching in the early hours of this morning.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 3.34am, and firefighters from the Siburan station were deployed.
Upon arrival, it was noted that the accident involved a cargo lorry which crashed into another lorry carrying fertiliser that was parked by the roadside, with the victim trapped.
Firefighters then proceeded to extricate the victim using ResQ tools, who was later pronounced dead by Health Ministry personnel before being handed over to the police for further action.
The driver of the lorry, who managed to get out of the vehicle by himself, was safe. — DayakDaily
