KUCHING, May 14: The completed drainage construction project in Long Lama Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Church is a preparation for the coming monsoon season.
According to Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) in a news report today, Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau said the project, which was completed in April this year, is part of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) for Telang Usan constituency.
“It is hoped that the drainage system will be functioning well, and help to prevent flash floods from occurring when the rainy season arrives,” he said when met after witnessing the handing over ceremony of the project to Long Lama BEM Church, last Wednesday.
Also present were Telang Usan district officer SAO Mike Athur Nakabok and representatives from Long Lama BEM Church. — DayakDaily
