Lodge National Secondary School shines with 23 straight A’s, two top scores achieving 9A+ in SPM

KUCHING, April 25: Lodge National Secondary School proudly celebrates the exceptional accomplishments of its students in the 2024 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations, highlighted by an impressive 23 students achieving straight A’s.

Among them, Joelle Marissa Hii Siang Ying and Zoe Kho Qi stand out as the top scorers, each earning a remarkable 9A+ in all subjects.

In a media release, the school emphasised that this outstanding achievement underscores the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

The 2024 SPM cohort achieved a 100 per cent pass rate across seven subjects, with English emerging as a standout strength, with 95 per cent of students earning distinctions (A).

In the sciences, the school also achieved remarkable results, with 85 per cent of students obtaining an A in Mathematics, 60 per cent in Chemistry, 56.84 per cent in Additional Mathematics, 56 per cent in Science, 47.57 per cent in Biology, and 47.37 per cent in Physics.

Reflecting on her success, Joelle shared how a positive attitude towards learning and effective time management played a significant role.

Balancing SPM with IGCSE, where she excelled with 7A*, she emphasised the importance of strategic planning, effective study methodologies, healthy sleep, and pursuing personal interests.

Zoe, who attributed her perfect score to discipline and consistency, encouraged her peers to stay committed and engage in school activities for both academic and personal growth.
