KUCHING, July 15: Only licensed bistros registered with local authorities are allowed to offer dine-in services during Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) in Sarawak effective July 16.

According to the latest standard operating procedures (SOP) issued by the Local Government and Housing Ministry (MLGH), the bistros are not allowed to play music and provide entertainment during operation hours when resuming business tomorrow.

The operation hours for food and beverage (F&B) premises is from 6am to 10pm.

As for the latest dine-in standard operating procedures (SOPs) for F&B operators, the ministry said they must display the number of customers allowed on the premises at any one time.

The maximum capacity for dine-in per one-metre long table is two persons, per 1.2-metre long table is four persons, and for tables measuring two metres and longer is six persons.

F&B operators have to ensure that their workers have received their first Covid-19 vaccination while the workforce is limited to 50 per cent capacity.

Workers and food suppliers have to observe SOPs including wearing facemasks, scanning body temperatures and so forth.

Workers with symptoms of Covid-19 are not allowed to work and need to undergo swab tests.

MLGH said F&B premises found to be in breach of the SOPs including repeat offences will be ordered to close for 14 days. — DayakDaily
