KUCHING, Jan 22: A 64-year-old hunter from Lawas was reported missing after failing to return home from his hunting trip, yesterday.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, in a statement today, said they received a report regarding the incident at 9.47 pm, yesterday (Jan 21) and three firefighters from Lawas fire station led by PBK II Mazrom Ampahon were deployed to the scene.
According to the statement, the victim, Robert Tamang Labo, went out for a hunting trip alone on Wednesday (Jan 20), by foot, and failed to return home until Thursday.
Following that, the local folks have conducted their own search effort to locate the victim, and have yet to find him. — DayakDaily
