KUCHING, Aug 14: Residents throughout the Lawas district are expected to experience low water pressure except in the Punang and Merapok areas.
This is because maintenance and cleaning works will be done on the “Sedimentation Basin 1” at the Trusan 20MLD Lawas regional plant starting 9am on August 15 to 5pm on August 18, 2020, says Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB).
“For that purpose, water production is done at half capacity and will cause some areas to experience low water pressure.
“Among the areas that will be expected to be affected are throughout the Lawas district except in the Punang and Merapok areas,” said JBALB in a press statement today.
As such, JBALB Sarawak advises consumers in the areas involved to make adequate water storage and save water consumption during the period of water supply disruption.
