KUCHING, Feb 14: Residents of Rumah Berawang in Nanga Tada, Kanowit call for immediate action from the relevant authorities to address the landslide which occurred near the longhouse.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) yesterday, the landslide which was estimated to be about 45 feet wide and 90 feet in length, occurred in front of the longhouse on Saturday (Feb 12).
As such, worried for their safety, the residents of the longhouse requested that the parties concerned address the matter.
It is understood that the landslide occurred less than 10 feet away from one of the longhouse’s ‘bilik’. — DayakDaily
