KUCHING, Sept 16: La Promenade Mall is set to kick off its second Oktoberfest, promising four weekends of culinary delights, live music, and entertainment from Sept 14 to Oct 8.
Proudly presented by Hock Seng Lee (HSL), this year, the event is even bigger and better, with a lineup of exciting features.
The Oktoberfest extravaganza will feature live music every night, providing a vibrant backdrop to the festivities.
Two popular bands, Mozaik and the modern Sarawakian group At Adau, will take the stage during the opening weekend on Sept 16 and 17.
In a statement circulated to the media tonight, HSL Digital marketing manager Sophia Ong hoped that the abundance of food and beverage stations would provide a wider range of choice for visitors, along with the live music performances.
“That is why we are sparing no expense for music at La Promenade’s Oktoberfest. The stage is much bigger than before with better speakers to give audiences a better festival experience,” she revealed.
“And importantly, we have also made sure to have quieter chill-out zones at our Oktoberfest, for those who just want to enjoy the company of friends and family.”
One exciting highlight of the event is the special preview of an ‘ice bar’, a new cocktail bar set to open at La Promenade Mall later in the year.
Renowned mixologist Clare Geena will be on hand to craft cocktail classics infused with Sarawakian twists, promising a unique and delightful drinking experience.
“It’s HSL’s goal to make La Promenade a buzzing cultural and community hub for Kuching and Samarahan. We want to be a platform for local entrepreneurs, and Sarawakian talents and fundamentally a great place for all sorts of activities,” she said.
Parking for visitors to the festival is free. For more info, visit lapromenademall.com.my or search for @lapromenademall on social media. — DayakDaily
