KUCHING, Jan 9: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng has announced that the upgrading works for the Kueh Siak Hong Hawker Centre have been completed ahead of schedule.
The mayor also highlighted that the hawker centre is set to undergo an inspection process. Once the inspection is complete and any necessary comments are addressed, the project will be officially handed over to the Council.
“The project, if I’m not mistaken, was completed 10 days ahead of schedule. So we’re nearing the end of the process.
“We hope to have a variety of food sold here, as well as a comfortable and clean hawker centre.
“Although the size of this place is not that big, it can accommodate 10 small stalls,” Wee said when visiting Kueh Siak Hong Hawker Centre on Jalan Kueh Siak Hong in Sekama here to inspect the place, which was streamed live on his official Facebook Page today.
He also expressed hope that the general public would visit the new hawker centre and support the small businesses there. — DayakDaily
