KUCHING, Aug 20: Adverse weather conditions are expected in eight districts in Sarawak today until 6pm.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia), the eight districts are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, and Mukah.

Thunderstorm warnings were issued at 2.50pm today.

A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close to or expected to occur for more than an hour.

A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release. — DayakDaily
