KUCHING, Sept 29: Several roads in Kuching will be closed or diverted in stages, starting Sept 28 and continuing until Oct 10, for the 80th Birthday Celebration of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak.
In a statement, Kuching district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said that the ceremonial parade and mass gathering will be held at Padang Merdeka on Oct 10 from 7am to 12pm.

To ensure the smooth running of the programme and traffic flow, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will implement road closures and diversions at the following locations:
