KUCHING, April 6: Residents in Kuching will be experiencing an unplanned water supply interruption and low water pressure from 10pm today until latest by 11am tomorrow (April 7).
According to an unplanned water disruption notice by Kuching Water Board (KWB) today, repair works of a gate valve tee off from a 840mm MSCL pumping main at Mile 6, Jalan Penrissen would start 10pm tonight and is expected to end at 5am tomorrow.
The water pressure recovery period is until 11am, and within this period, consumers will experience low pressure, air locks and dirty water.
The affected areas include Taman Sarmax, Semeba Park, areas along Jalan Semeba, Jalan Simpang Tiga, Kenyalang Park, Batu 7, Batu 9, Batu 10, Booster Station 1 and 2, Jalan Puncak Borneo, Jalan Kuching Serian, SMK Siburan, Kampung Landeh, areas in Pending, Bintawa and Kuching City.
“Consumers are advised to store enough water for the duration of the supply interruption.
