SIBU, April 6: A 35-year old woman, who is a mental patient, has been reported missing after leaving her family’s house on Monday (April 4).

Acting Sibu District police chief Supt Dr Collin Babat said the woman, Sia Kiong Hui, was found missing by her 67-year-old mother from their home in Jalan Sentosa here at about 4am.

“After not finding her in the bedroom, the mother then went to search for her but failed to locate her and made a police report as she feared for her safety,” he said.

According to her mother, Sia was last seen wearing a white and brown shirt and a trouser.

Sia is 160cm tall and weighs 45kg. She is also a mental patient who had sought treatment at the hospital’s psychiatric ward.

The victim had once in 2017 ventured out of the house but returned on her own safely.
