Kuching records nation’s highest max temperature at 35.1°C on Aug 9

KUCHING, Aug 10: The meteorological station in Kuching recorded the highest maximum temperature nationwide on Aug 9 at 35.1°C, says the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia).

Statewide, this is followed by Mulu with a maximum temperature of 34.8°C. Kapit and Sibu each recorded maximum temperatures of 34.5°C, and Bintulu and Limbang recorded 34.3°C each.

Miri recorded the lowest maximum temperature at 32.7°C.

Members of the public have been reminded to drink plenty of water regularly, limit outdoor activities, wear sunscreen when outdoors, use protection such as umbrellas or hats, and stay in areas that are shaded, well-ventilated, or air-conditioned whenever possible. — DayakDaily
