KUCHING, March 12: Kuching Islamic Religious Office at Level 10 of Majma’ Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah is closed temporarily from March 12 to 13 for sanitisation purposes.
Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (Jais) said the office would be reopened on Monday (March 15).
In the meantime, it urged parties who have made appointments for their marriage solemnisation on these two days to rearrange the venues.
“For those who have made appointments for their marriage solemnisation on these dates will be contacted, or to contact the Islamic Family Development Division at 082-507075 or 082-232050 to reset the location either at Level 3 or Level 11,” said Jais in a statement today.
Adding on, the department reminded that five is the maximum number of attendees allowed during a marriage solemnisation ceremony comprising the bride and groom, guardians and family members only. — DayakDaily
