KUCHING, July 24: Temporary road closures will be implemented on Sunday (July 26) in conjunction with the Kuching Half Marathon Heritage Run 2026.
According to the event organiser, the City Jogger’s Club, both carriageways of Jalan Padungan in front of the MBKS Boulevard will be temporarily closed from 5am to 8am.
Motorists are strongly advised to plan their journeys ahead of time and use the following alternative routes during the road closure period:
- Jalan Ang Cheng Ho
- Jalan Tan Sri Datuk William Tan
“Road users are also requested to comply with all directions given by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), enforcement officers, and event marshals who will be stationed throughout the affected areas to assist with traffic management.
“City Jogger’s Club sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused and greatly appreciates the patience, cooperation, and understanding of the public as we work together to ensure a safe and successful event,” it said in a statement.
The Kuching Half Marathon Heritage Run 2026 brings together thousands of runners from Malaysia and around the world, celebrating health, heritage, and community spirit while showcasing Kuching as a vibrant sporting and tourism destination. — DayakDaily
