KUCHING, July 14: With the Kuching Festival Food Fair just around the corner, the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) has recommended that those interested in going utilise various online platforms, including the newly launched Great, to enhance communication between vendors and customers.

According to MBKS, the platform, promoted in collaboration with KuchingDeal, allows vendors to upload menus, stall photos, and details for free, and enables the public to search, bookmark, and rate food stalls online.

“This greatly helps customers get to know the food they want to try before heading to the festival and allows vendors to attract more visitors.

“The emergence of these digital tools represents a step forward for the entire food and beverage ecosystem. We hope everyone will make good use of these free resources, proactively showcase their unique offerings, and give festivalgoers and tourists more choices and a better experience.”

The council also reminded vendors that the earlier they upload their information online, the better they can align with the platform’s promotional schedule before and during the festival, gaining more exposure for their stalls.

It also added that some platforms have announced that they will uniformly publish vendor introductions and promotional offers on social media.

“Our goal is to encourage everyone to make full use of digital tools and free resources to enhance themselves and elevate the standards of the Kuching Festival.

“The festival is a shared brand for all Kuchingites, and the Kuching South City Council encourages all participating vendors to follow the guidelines, operate with dedication, and actively display the warm and hospitable spirit of Kuching people, so we can continue to make the festival bigger, better, and more successful.”
