KUCHING, March 5: Kuching Autistic Association (KAA) emerged the champion in the 2nd Edition of Lebunda Charity Tennis Cup 2023.
The tournament was organised by Lebunda Kuching Welfare Organisation (PKLK) and Kelab Rekreasi Permain Tennis Rinduk Kuching (TF Rinduk).
According to PKLK secretary Ruslan Bujang, the event is held in memory of the late Puan Sri Dayang Lela Abang Zawawi who passed away on Feb 19, 2020.
“All the proceeds from the event will be donated to six selected charitable organisation, non-governmental organisationn and Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs),” he said in a statement today.
The trophies and cash prizes were handed over by Tanjung Manis MP Yusof Abdul Wahab at the Sarawak Bumiputera Tennis Association (PTBS) premises here today.
Meanwhile, Kuching Community Welfare and Charity Organisation settled in second place.
The two-day competition also saw participation from four other teams, namely Pertubuhan Sukarelawan Kebajikan Kuching, Special Olympic Kuching Chapter (SOKC), Sarawak OKU Skills Development Association and Sarawak Society For The Deaf (SSFTD). — DayakDaily
