KUCHING, July 9: A community hall worth RM200,000 will be built for Kampung Terasi Iban in Asajaya.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris said allocation for the project has been approved and construction work will be implemented soon.
“Kampung Sungai Bundong Iban already has a hall but Kampung Terasi Iban does not.
“However, residents of Kampung Terasi Iban do not have to worry because the allocation has been approved, and they can hold a gathering in turn with Kampung Sungai Bundong Iban,” he said during a ‘Ngiling Biday Gawai Dayak’ ceremony held at Kampung Sungai Bundong Hall on Friday (July 8).
During the ceremony, Awla also expressed that he is very proud of the efforts of both Kampung Sungai Bundong Iban and Kampung Terasi Iban in maintaining unity among their villagers by holding the ceremony together. — DayakDaily
