KUCHING, Nov 11: A vote for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), particularly in P196 Stampin will put Stampin voters in the history books as they may hold the key to forming the next government of Malaysia, says Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin.

Yap opined, a vote for Pakatan Harapan (PH) or Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) will be wasted because that vote will not form a national government or any government.

“It is an open secret that the condition in Peninsular Malaysia politically will probably end up in a stalemate with no coalition with enough numbers to form a government or maybe just shy of forming a government on their own.

“As such GPS with a potential 31 seats will be the deciding factor on the next Federal government,” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Yap said he was informed by a student in a local government university that even in Constitutional Law classes the Malaya propaganda machine still teaches that Sarawak is one of 13 states in Malaysia.

He pointed out that someone like GPS Stampin candidate Lo Khere Chiang can be trusted to make sure that the syllabus such as Constitutional Law in local universities be streamlined to reflect the momentous Constitutional Amendment that has been made to clarify the status of Sarawak as not merely 1 off 13 but a full partner of Malaysia and is 1 of 3.

“Lo’s track record shows his astute awareness on the challenges to be faced in Putrajaya and Parliament and this is due to his years of understudying Datuk Yong Khoon Seng who was the MP for Stampin till 2013 and with this in-depth knowledge he is the man to help team Abang Jo to further the Sarawak First Agenda,” he added.

On another note, Yap said SUPP Kota Sentosa has deployed all its resources and talents to the ground and will be acting in tangent and synchronicity with Stampin’s election machinery.

“I am happy to note that the last four days has seen a concerted effort between the teams in Batu Kawa, Batu Kitang and Kota Sentosa working together to wrest back the Stampin parliamentary seat for GPS,” he said. — DayakDaily
