KUCHING, June 13: Four of South Kuching City Council’s (MBKS) Rural Transformation Programmes (RTP) have been completed on schedule, says Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap.
According to the press statement today, the four projects, namely the upgrading on Green Heights recreation park, upgrading of Borneo Garden recreation park, upgrading of Lorong Stampin Tengah 12 recreation park, and upgrading of SK Satria Jaya school hall amounted up to a sum of RM240,000.
He attended a simple handover ceremony where the contractors officially transferred the RTP projects to him. The ceremony was witnessed by MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng.
Yap praised Wee and his officers for doing an excellent job in monitoring and supervising the upgrading works of the contractors for the four projects from start to their timely finish with quality finishing.
“Yap hopes that the upgrading works at the three recreation parks will provide a more conducive venue for the local residents to congregate, organise social activities and events,” read the statement today.
The upgraded hall of SK Satria Jaya, BDC offers a more conducive environment for the students and teachers to organize more extra-curricular activities that are crucial in enhancing the overall learning process. — DayakDaily
