MIRI, June 25: A 40-something Korean housewife got into a minor scuffle after she spotted a stranger trying to steal mangoes from her backyard today, and she now cannot pronounce certain words properly.

The incident happened at Krokop 5 here at about 11am.

According to sources, the thief, in his 30s, sneaked into the victim’s backyard and starting plucking mangoes from the tree.

When he realised later that he had been spotted and tried to flee, the Korean woman sprang into action by grabbing his T-shirt.

A scuffle ensued but luckily two policemen were patrolling the neighbourhood then and they promptly arrested the suspect. The cops also found about 5kg of mangoes inside a bag belonging to the thief.

The Korean housewife later lodged a report at the Miri Central police station (CPS), and she included in her report one startling piece of information — she lost two front teeth in the fracas! — DayakDaily
