Kampung Serikin placed under EMCO from June 17 onwards

KUCHING, June 16: An Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will be enforced in Kampung Serikin for 14 days effective tomorrow (June 17).

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement disclosed today that the decision was made following a rise in number of positive Covid-19 cases in the village.

Apart from that, the EMCO was also enforced at two workers quarters in GSS Port, Samalaju in Bintulu and Semai Mekar plantation in Bintulu effective June 15 until June 28.

The statement also announced that the Sarawak Health Department has declared an end of the EMCO affectig 10 longhouses and one village in Sarawak namely, Kampung Hulu Tambak, Betong; Rh Tajai, Nanga Sebiro, Balleh, Bukit Mabong; Rh Nyamuk, Sg Serau, Sg Gaat, Bukit Mabong; Rh Empawie, Sungai Yong, Kapit; Rh Ngelai Sungai Tisa, Sg Yong, Kapit; Rh Laso, Nanga Entawau, Balleh, Bukit Mabong; Rh Rentap, Nanga Entawau, Balleh, Bukit Mabong; Rh Setia, Sembayang, Sri Aman; Rh Senah, Sembayang Ban, Sri Aman; Rh Sebastian Ngalang, Batu 6, Jalan Oya, Sibu; and Rh Jalin, Sungai Masit, Julau. ā€” DayakDaily
