KUCHING, Feb 5: The recent ‘Jualan Rahmah Bergerak’ programme at Taman Hui Sing aimed to ease the financial burden of local residents in preparation for the Chinese New Year festive season.
According to the Hui Sing Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) in a press release, among the 30 items sold at discounted prices are chicken, eggs, and canned drinks.
The ‘Jualan Rahmah Bergerak’ programme, held on Feb 4, at the Dewan Persatuan Kebajikan Masyarakat Taman Hui Sing, was organised by Hui Sing JKKK, with Kapitan Tan Kun Gee chairing the committee.
“The ‘Jualan Rahmah Bergerak’ was a collaborative effort between JKKK Kawasan Hui Sing and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Sarawak.
“The items sold at the ‘Jualan Rahmah Bergerak’ were subsidised by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living,” read the press release.
The programme was graced by Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian and Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap.
“According to JKKK Hui Sing members, the majority who patronised the programme were residents of Taman Hui Sing.
“And, in view of the overwhelming response to the ‘Jualan Rahmah Bergerak’, JKKK Hui Sing will plan to do more of such programmes in the future.
“JKKK Hui Sing expresses sincere thanks to officers from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Sarawak, as well as their partner merchant, Happy Farm Fresh Mart, for their collaborations in making the ‘Jualan Rahmah Bergerak’ at Taman Hui Sing a success today (yesterday),” it said. — DayakDaily
