KUCHING, Dec 19: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) would like to remind the public that the sale and registration of special car plate numbers will end on Dec 31, 2019.
In a press statement, JPJ indicated that all sales and registrations of special plate numbers will no longer be permitted after the end of this year.
“Since 2010, JPJ has allowed special plate numbers for associations, trust funds, companies, welfare bodies and government agencies.
“From then until now, special car plate owners have been given ample time to sell or handle their businesses in relation to the matter,” said JPJ.
As such, the public is advised to settle all businesses with regards to the matter of special car registration numbers by Dec 31, 2019.
“This is to avoid any issues cropping up in the process of registration after the closing date,” said JPJ. —DayakDaily
