KUCHING, Aug 2: Betong native John Watson Tamin has made history as the first Iban to represent Malaysia in the Mister Universe competition.
John announced his achievement in a Facebook post today, expressing his honor in being named Mister Universe Malaysia 2024.

“This extraordinary journey is not only about personal achievement, but also about elevating our people, our country, and our cultural diversity on the world stage,” he said.
He also requested for moral support and motivational encouragement from all Malaysian in his journey representing the country and community with pride and dedication.
